There was an even mix of one, two and three-bedroom properties sold, with most buyers being local owner-occupiers.

The strong interest in the off-the-plan properties is further indication of the changing perceptions of the area, which continues to undergo gentrification as a result of the city’s recently imposed lockout laws.

“Buyers can see the revitalisation and vision of the Potts Point area, and recognise the investment,” CBRE Director Residential Projects Ben Stewart said.

“With the current lack of supply, the area will be tightly held.”

Located on a corner block at 37-41 Bayswater Rd, the latest offering from developer Roxy-Pacific will span eight levels and include ground floor cafes and offer views across Rushcutters Bay and the city from some of the top floor apartments.

Architects Woods Bagot are behind the complex’s design.

Prices start at $820,000 for an executive suite, with three-bedders priced at $2.595 million to $3.750 million.

Construction is expected to commence in August 2016 with completion penned for December 2017.
